Sewing Thread

I grew up in a crafting and sewing home. I can remember my mother was always making something, either for me or my sisters, and it eventually evolved into her making things for other people. I dabbled a little bit in wood burning, oil painting, cross-stitching and crocheting but never had a passion for any craft in particular. Then in 1993, I gave birth to my first daughter, Courtney and not long after that, I began sewing dresses for her and her dolls. I even made matching outfits for the both of us and loved the idea of our “mother/daughter” dresses.  Then one day she informed me she was too big for that, and sadly, I put my machine away and had no reason to take it out again.

However, life is full of changes and adventures, and 17 years later, I was blessed to have another little girl, Anna Laura! My passion for sewing has returned and between living on a ranch, raising a toddler and running a non-profit missions organization (Crosspoint International), I try to take every extra moment I can find to escape to my in-home studio to create unique, one-of-a-kind outfits for Anna, my friends and other family members!  My mother owns a sewing shop in VA and my sister runs one in NM, so it kind of runs in our blood.  They are both Baby Lock dealers, so I am blessed to have top of the line machines; a six-needle Baby Lock EMP embroidery machine, a Baby Lock Ellageo embroidery/sewing machine and a Baby Lock Evolution serger. I am also an admitted fabric hoarder!
